Information on our Merger with Bank of the Northwest
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your business and for choosing Bank of the Northwest. Today, we are pleased to announce the completion of the merger of Bank of the Northwest with AmericanWest Bank. Since the announcement of our merger agreement, we have become even more confident that AmericanWest Bank and Bank of the Northwest share the same corporate values regarding customer service, care for employees and commitment to the community.
Now, as the two organizations combine, you will continue to experience a business-focused community bank that provides exceptional customer service. With over $2 billion in assets, we are pleased to offer access to increased lending capabilities, expanded products and services and additional benefits inherent in a well-capitalized bank.
The operations and systems of the two banks are scheduled to be combined on October 15; prior to that date you will receive more information about what you can expect. In the meantime, continue using your accounts as you always have, including Online Banking, Debit Cards, Checks, Remote Deposit machines, and all other products and services. You will continue to access Online Banking through the Bank of the Northwest website (www.bankofthenorthwest.com) until the systems are combined; however, if you would like to review AmericanWest Bank's products and services, feel free to visit us at www.awbank.net.
You will start to see changes in our signage immediately, but the faces will remain familiar. We are pleased to announce that Tom Giovanelli, President & CEO of Bank of the Northwest, has agreed to stay on with the company and take on a new role as Regional Manager for Western Washington. You have our commitment that we will communicate with you throughout the transition and will continue to provide you exemplary service every step of the way.
In the coming weeks and months, watch for more information on the merger, including details on expanded products and services. On behalf of the Board and management team, I offer you my sincere thanks for your business and look forward to expanding our relationship with you.
Sincerely,

Scott A. Kisting
