    Access your checking, savings and money market statements anytime online. It's fast and free, and it eliminates receiving printed statements in the mail each month — saving paper, envelopes and time.

    Want more reasons to switch to eStatements?

    • No need to wait for the U.S. Mail. Access statements immediately following each close date.
    • Receive an e-mail reminder when your statements are ready for viewing.
    • Because you bypass the home mailbox, you prevent possible mail theft, a common starting point for ID theft.
    • Choose to print statements; or save paper by downloading them to your personal computer.

    Prefer to manage your accounts on the phone? With TeleService, you can access your account information or make a transfer from the privacy of your home, office, or when you're on the go — anytime you like. TeleService is available in English and in Spanish and the menus may be accessed by voice recognition or by using your touch-tone phone.

    Using TeleService, you may complete any of these functions related to your accounts:

    • Account Balance: A quick balance check on any of your AmericanWest accounts, including checking, savings, and money market as well as loans.
    • Report lost or stolen debit card: Prompts you for the information we'll need to protect your account from possible unauthorized use.
    • Check Recent Transactions: A list of all recent transactions posted to your account (for a checking account you may also verify if a specific check cleared by check number).
    • Account Transfer Request: Securely transfer your money from one account to another. For security purposes, this function is limited to accounts with the same account holders/signers.
    • Last Withdrawal or Deposit: Recites the amount of your last withdrawal or deposit for a specific account.
    • Loan Payments: Make a loan payment by authorizing a funds transfer from another of your AmericanWest Bank accounts.

Overdraft Coverage

Everyday Debit Card & ATM Overdraft Coverage. Your protection, your choice.

You can now choose to have AmericanWest Bank approve your everyday debit card and ATM transactions at our discretion even if you don’t have enough money in your account at the time of your transaction. 
What is Overdraft Coverage?
With overdraft coverage, your everyday debit card or ATM transactions may be approved, at our discretion, even when sufficient funds are not available in your account. An everyday debit transaction is a one-time, non-recurring debit card purchase or payment. This does not include checks, online bill payments, or recurring automatic debit card payments (such as gym memberships or internet service.)
Why Opt-In?
  • Save the inconvenience and embarrassment of a declined transaction.
  • Make purchases even if you are not able to make a deposit until the next business day.
  • If you have an unexpected expense or an emergency, your transaction may still be approved.
If I opt-in, will my debit card charges always be approved?
Whether a transaction is approved is discretionary based on your relationship with the bank.
If I have Overdraft Protection set up from another deposit account or a line of credit, do I still need to opt in?
Overdraft Protection allows automatic transfers of money from your savings, money market, or line of credit if your checking account is overdrawn.* Opting in provides an extra layer of protection that may allow your debit card to continue working if funds are not available in another account that is set up for Overdraft Protection.
*Lines of credit cannot be used for overdraft protection on business accounts.
How much does Overdraft Coverage cost?
Standard overdraft fees may apply. See below for more details. There is no additional fee for opting into Overdraft Coverage and no fee if you never use it.
What You Need to Know About Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees
Read this important information before making your decision. You can Opt-In now to everyday debit card and ATM overdraft coverage by clicking here.
  • Once an overdraft has occurred, you are obligated to bring your account to a positive balance promptly.
  • Whether your overdraft will be paid is at AmericanWest Bank’s discretion, and we reserve the right not to pay. For example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, you are not making regular deposits, or you have had excessive overdrafts.
  • If you have sufficient funds available under Overdraft Protection, funds will automatically be transferred from your savings, money market, or line of credit to cover your overdraft purchases. Overdraft Protection may be subject to credit approval. Fees may apply including a $5 transfer fee from linked deposit accounts.
  • Whether you have Overdraft Coverage on your checking account will not affect how we treat your recurring debit card transactions (such as gym membership). In particular, we may, at our discretion, authorize and pay a recurring debit card transaction that causes an overdraft and charge an insufficient funds/overdraft fee even if you do not maintain Overdraft Coverage on your account.

Lost or Stolen Card

Your personal or business VISA® debit card is protected.

If you believe your AmericanWest Bank VISA® Debit Card has been lost or stolen, we can assist you to quickly protect your account from possible unauthorized use.
FIRST STEP: CANCEL YOUR CARD
Please contact us immediately. Because of the serious nature of the situation and the importance of protecting your personal financial information, it’s best to call us directly rather than send an email.

SECOND STEP: REPLACE YOUR CARD 
Once your card has been reported lost, stolen or compromised we can order you a replacement card. The replacement card will have a different number which allows us to protect your account. To get this process started simply contact us during business hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. PST) at 1.800.772.5479 (option 8) or visit any of our AmericanWest Bank financial centers. 
FINAL STEP: REMAIN ALERT 
Now your account is protected from unauthorized use and you have added peace of mind because your card is covered by VISA® Zero Liability, which guarantees you won’t be held responsible for fraudulent signature charges made with your card or account information (learn more).
If it’s possible your card could have been used without your permission prior to reporting it to us, it’s important to monitor your account activity. Based on your situation, you may want to learn more about identity theft prevention by visiting our Security Center. We also recommend these trustworthy sources: your State Attorney General’s Office, the Better Business Bureau, and www.idtheft.org.

Gift cards are available for purchase at any of our branch locations.

Gift Cards are a convenient way to show appreciation for a job well done. They can be used for gifts for friends and family. The service charge for these cards is $5.00 for each card purchased.
